We have a thriving youth ministry and two large groups of younger and older youth who meet each Sunday. Our new Youth Ministry Leader, Nathan, joined the team in April 2024!
Sunday Groups
Our Sunday groups provide sessions most weeks, our heart is to first and foremost know each of our young people individually, and to build relationships with them. Secondly it is help them grow in their faith, through providing fun, interesting and challenging teaching around the Bible and the Christian faith. Thirdly is to show them what it means to share this message of God’s kingdom with their friends, families and schools.
We have two groups each Sunday which meet at St Andrew’s:
Pathfinders (11-14 year olds) is run by Simon and a team of older youth. They meet on Sunday mornings during the 10:30am Service to discuss, play games, read the Bible and pray. We usually have about 15 young people in Pathfinders each Sunday.
CHAOS (14-18 year olds) – meets on Sunday evenings in the church hall during the 6pm Service, gathering for hot chocolate and cake first at 5:45pm. They have fun together playing some games and reflecting on the Bible and what it means to follow Jesus. On average we have about 15 young people join us each week.
We also have social events every so often during the week and in Autumn 2021 ran Youth Alpha on Monday nights for young people from our churches and other churches around Malvern. We had a brilliant youth weekend away for the older youth just before Easter 2023.
